There’s no denying the mixed reviews that chiropractic has received. Some patients say that chiropractic care has corrected their back problems, while others say the practice is unscientific. Hence, to improve chiropractic’s standing with the rest of the medical community, continuous research and clinical studies have to be applied. With respect to this, Canadian researchers bagged first place in the World Federation of Chiropractic’s 12th Biennial Congress, which was held in South Africa in April, 2013. People who experience pain always want a quick, hassle-free solution for relief. It’s animal nature to shy away from pain, after all, considering that pain is the body’s way of warning its owner to avoid further harm. This is the reason why people developed surgeries and treatments to address bodily pain and it’s causes. The question is, which is better: surgery or chiropractic adjustment?
Surgery, obviously, is the more invasive option between the two. Surgeons would have to isolate the problematic area and make the necessary cuts and adjustments to relieve inflammation and pain.
